4 Stupid-simple rules to handle Conservatives

do not sensor speechChristians, by nature, are conservative. However, an attempt to censor, frighten, or side-line conservatives should be as equally  unacceptable if someone performed  the same treatment on a liberal.

Many Christians are pro-life, and ready to encourage others to seek Jesus as Savior and Lord. This is normal for this group. Their attitude that has been unchanged for centuries!  Here are some stupid-simple rules to encourage realistic thinking for liberal types as they handle conservative types.
There are biblical rules to educate liberals who choose censorship when they try to handle the conservative perspective.  And yes, these rules are stupid-simple.  stupid-simple rulesStupid-simple refers to the concept of any idea that is so simple, even a stupid person can understand it. It is hard to imagine why any person would be so stupid that they can not understand these principles. Here we go.

Rule 1

Follow Along

Love people. Whether a person is Christian or not, they are human. Not male, not female. Not black nor any other race. These are simply people who have a right to exist, and have a right to express an opinion. When this is considered, there are only 3 options of ‘care’:  love, hate, or indifference.
Matthew 5:43-45 says 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Rule 2

See the goodBelief in God is a force for good. Believing in God is a good thing. Those who do not believe will live their lives with days of futility and uncertainty. In Psalm 78:32-33, it says   32 In spite of all this, they kept on sinning;  in spite of his wonders, they did not believe. 33 So he ended their days in futility and their years in terror.

While I do not say this as a threat,  the Bible tells us there is danger in not believing. Those who do not step up and recognize God will die in their ignorance, according to Psalm 78:34 34 Whenever God slew them, they would seek him; they eagerly turned to him again.

Rule 3

Be careful who you listen to. This one is really important. Even my list of stupid-simple rules should be questioned. The test on weather to listen is consistency. If something is said, and the point is changed in 2 months when social media forgets about the earlier point, it is inconsistent. Such people should not be listened to!

The supporting Bible reference for this is being a false prophet. Certainly, such verses are talking about any person that speaks for God as if they are an ambassador, with his weight behind them. Really, if their word does not hold up, they are not representing God. In a similar way, a political troll who is inconsistent should be ignored. Jeremiah 23:16 says This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord.

What you listen to matters

Rule 4

Listen before you act.  For example, there is a cult-like fanaticism among people who are active in Antifa and/or BLM. As they follow and partake in their misguided  belief system, these are people who are willing to pillage and destroy, punch and hurt — without an assessment of what they are doing nor the consequences. I think of Luke 14:28, which says 28 “Suppose
one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and
estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?

Anyone that has a brain will normally assess the cost of whatever you are doing or about to do.  The cost should be in mind, or you probably will  not be able to achieve the goals you want. Think of any riot which resulted in the destruction of businesses. The cost was high to those neighborhoods,. Recovery took months, or may even be ongoing – still. In order to make progress, we all need to think carefully about what we seek, and take on the pitfalls that will help us achieve.
